The company :: History

Pieles Turiaso SA. is a Family Company leaded by Tomas Laborda and his sons Ivan, Marcos and Rubén dedicated to the collection, selection and selling of raw skins.

Our main function is collecting in slaughterhouses, salting and selecting the skins, in order to give to the customers the type of skins that they need . We collect also salted skins from smaller warehouses and we make the selection under an strict control based on many years of working experience and knowledge passed from father to sons.

We collect all kinds of skins: Lamb, Baby lamb, Sheep, Goat, Kd goat, Beef and Rabbits skins, either for Napa or Double Face.

Our collecting areas are located mainly in Aragon, Navarra and Castilla regions. Also we have a wide source of suppliers induding other countries in Europe from which we collect only by specific demands made by our customers who trust in our good criteria of selection.
The production is mainly from Lamb and Baby Iamb skins, reaching the amount of 2,5 million skins per year, with a level of export around the world of 70% of our production.

Our warehouse is separated in different areas:

- Cold area of selection and salting. Refrigerated area where we select the skins in fresh and after we sail the skins with the salting machine in a cold temperature in order to keep the best conservation of the goods.

- Area of selection in salted. In this area we select and control the skins already salted collected from the small warehouses. Also the area where we make pallets of every type of selection in order to store them.

- Fridge storage area. Refrigerated area where we keep the skins already classified by articles in a low temperature to keep them stored for long time if necessary.

- Loading and unloading area. Area where we keep every lot ready to be loaded and where we keep the lot just unloaded.

Our work is based in the good criteria of our selection and professional knowledge of the skins being the biggest production warehouse in Spain at this moment.
